APPRENTICESHIP / INSTRUCTOR INFORMATION

Local 139 offers a wide range of training opportunities within it’s five year apprenticeship program to become an inside wireman.

Classes are a requirement for advancement and for working in the field. Classes run from Sept. to May, two nights per week.

We are subject to New York State Apprenticeship rules and regulations through the New York State Dept. of Labor. Local Union oversight is through a joint apprenticeship committee made up of local employers and union members.
